[Koby doesn't miss being on Alvida's ship -- quite the opposite, it still gives him nightmares sometimes. He'd be happy to never get on another pirate ship as long as he lives. But boarding the Merry feels completely different -- exciting, welcoming, freeing in a way the Marine ships can't quite imitate. Koby could almost imagine being eager to board, every time.
Granted, a large part of that has to do with Luffy's huge, welcoming grin. Maybe that's the part Koby will never get tired of.
He halts, a little out of breath, pushing his glasses up his nose and grinning back. He'd taken enough time to change out of his uniform -- the other Straw Hats were already making allowances by letting him board, he didn't want to push it by showing up in Marine blue and white. It's obvious Koby had dressed in a hurry, though, some of the buttons on his shirt undone and his hair all ruffled.
He smooths it down, pink-cheeked, embarrassed.] Um. Hi.
